Many people are of the opinion that extra virgin olive oil is one of the best types of fat out there but why is that? Why is it that so many people seem to live and die by this particular product when it's clear that other products may be able to give this one a run for its money? In order to better understand why this oil is looked at with such reverence, there are a number of points to consider. Keep these in mind as we assess the health of the oil in question.

To say that extra virgin olive oil is a versatile product would be nothing short of an understatement. Let's say that you have the desire to implement this type of oil to cook an entire meal; with the right level of care, you will be able to do so. Diets contain a number of products and it is fair to say that many of them will be overlooked. It doesn't matter whether you simply want to add it to your food or use it for cooking purposes. This is an alternative that is even better than what is viewed as conventional, canola oil included.
