One of the most fulfilling and most challenging journeys you may ever go on is seeing what your body is capable of. There might be a chance you are in shape, totally out of shape, or simply expecting to lose some weight. Nevertheless, developing a body that you can be proud, one that is very healthy, and lets you really adore each last tiny inch of it truly is a wonderful journey to try.

So what is the real secret to making a long-lasting change with your body?

Consistency and commitment.

There's nothing else like coming to the table each day and giving it your best shot. Your best effort must be yours and yours alone. Don't start comparing your journey to other journeys or else you may become unmotivated and daunted by the task at hand. Instead, really try and understand that you are contesting with yourself and yourself alone. Will there be times on your journey where you try and fail? Yes, many times. But every time you do, you must come back with a dedication to achieving something you strongly want. Consistency will keep you in the game and on the field each day. Without it, you will suffer the the inevitable and bad reality of many new years resolutioners who give up each and every single year on developing the body of their dreams because they are missing the ability to keep on coming back repeatedly timeand again.

Commitment also comes to mind, but not the commitment that you're possibly thinking about. In our world, we are fed this idea that everything must take place right now and if it does not actually occur now, it isn't worth it. Your body is going to really change acrossthe years, so why don't you try and make a real lifelong dedication to remaining healthy? Is that a sexy sellable idea? Not so much. But is it something that might actually change the course of your life? Absolutely.

When you make a commitment to keeping your body healthy through your whole life, you will at last reach whatever goal you wish. It is about seeing the big picture than simply the few months in front of you until the summer. It's honestly about developing something you can be happy with forever. For me, that concept changed the course of my life as I was able to eventually hit my health targets after 12 years of struggling with my self-image and food issues. But as soon as I shifted my view of what I was making an attempt to attain, everything I had wished for came to me. So try it on for size and see if it might work for you. Make a lifetime commitment to remaining healthy and watch how much your body will change in the short term also.

Bring some commitment and consistency to the table, in all sides of your life, and things will change significantly.
